History:

REEDA is a nonprofit, non-governmental, non-partisan and women-led organization with more than 55% involvement of professional, qualified and experience female expertise in senior management structure and 60% in board of directory.

We are donor based local organization in Afghanistan implementing relief, stabilization, economic empowerment, emergency and development programs across Afghanistan. REEDA was established on 2017 with ministry of economic of Afghanistan under registration # 4968. REEDA’s primary advocacy and existence is based on to reduce the suffering of the Afghanistan’s most vulnerable groups and provide the tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency, focus on addressing the needs of communities emerging from conflict or natural disaster.

REEDA organization was founded with a vision to create a world where every individual has access to basic necessities, protection, and opportunities for a better future.

REEDA collaborates with a wide range of partners and donors, local organizations, and many others to deliver sustainable services those aligned with SDGs and UN triple nexus i.e. to interlink humanitarian, development and peace.

We believe in building strong partnerships with local organizations, governments, and international stakeholders to ensure our interventions are sustainable and contextually relevant.

REEDA program planning and theory of change mainly focuses to achieve A-SDGs i.e. its institutional setup and policy documents is founded to recognize and interlink sustainable development and relevant on-going processes.

Since its establishment, throughout the years REEDA has developed an integrated strategic approach, which addresses the needs of vulnerable people living both in humanitarian and development settings.

REEDA differ widely in its program planning and strategies—contributing in long-term interventions concerning humanitarian response and sustainable development, and specifically focuses on the ultra-poor communities of Afghanistan enabling them to develop sustainable livelihood through micro finance and re-integration in the society.
